What this Cookie Policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how quantresearchdesk.com may use cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy. The Website is operated by Coccaro Roberto Ignacio and Amin Hydarali under the Quant Research Desk name.

02

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small pieces of information stored on or accessed from a user's device when visiting a website. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, SDKs and other identifiers. Some technologies are necessary for a requested service; others may support analytics, preferences, advertising or other functions.

03

Legal approach

Under the Italian implementation of the ePrivacy framework and the Italian Garante's cookie guidance, strictly necessary or technical cookies generally do not require prior consent but must be described. Non-technical tracking technologies generally require appropriate prior consent unless a specific exemption applies.

Consent, where required, should be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. Users should be able to refuse non-essential cookies and later withdraw consent without unnecessary difficulty.

04

Cookie categories

Strictly necessary/technical technologies support transmission, security, load balancing, session management and consent-preference storage. Functional/preference technologies remember optional choices. Analytics may measure visits, pages, referral sources and device/browser characteristics. Advertising/profiling and cross-site measurement should not activate before valid consent where consent is required.

06

Actual cookies and trackers

This section cannot safely be finalised without a live technical inventory. Before publication, the production site must be scanned and the final table must list every cookie or tracker actually used, including relevant third-party scripts. QRD should not publish an invented cookie table.

07

Analytics configuration

If QRD uses analytics, the founders should confirm whether it is cookieless, first-party or third-party; whether IP addresses are truncated; whether data are combined across services; whether advertising features are enabled; retention settings; and whether data are transferred outside the EEA. Analytics should not be labelled technical merely because it is useful.

08

Third-party content

Embedded videos, social widgets, charts, external fonts, anti-bot tools, maps, payment tools or other third-party components may place or access identifiers. Non-essential third-party components should be blocked until consent where required, or implemented in a privacy-preserving way.

09

Managing preferences

Users should be able to manage consent through a persistent Cookie Settings or equivalent link available from the Website footer. Browser settings may also allow deletion or blocking of cookies, but browser controls are not a substitute for obtaining consent where the law requires it.

10

Withdrawal and changes

Users may withdraw consent at any time through the consent-management interface. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. QRD may update this Policy when trackers, vendors or legal requirements change.

11

Contact

Questions about cookies or tracking should be sent to QRD's monitored privacy/cookie contact once that address is activated and published.
